STAGEMAKER® COMPACT concert hoists are designed for handling stage and
theatrical equipment; it enables the safe and accurate positioning of
speakers, lighting systems, stage sets and sceneries. STAGEMAKER? COMPACT
electric chain hoists are CSA approved * and CE marked . STAGEMAKER?
COMPACT's features and options make it the best choice for a demanding
customer; its low weight makes it ideal for touring events; its compact
size permits it to fit inside truss structures; its quietness makes it
ideal for operation during performances even in theaters. You benefit from

 The revolutionary planetary gearbox contributes
to the compact hoist design. Grease lubricated precision gearing
contributes to an exceptionally low noise level, average dB rating
is less than 75 dB. |
 The heat treated load wheel with 5 full pockets
is machined in a single production step. The black load chain
is grade 80. The 5 pocket load wheel minimizes chain stress while
ensuring smooth operation. A chain guide prevents the chain from
jamming, no matter what the position of the hoist.

 Folding transport handles facilitate handling. The hoist
body is pressure-molded aluminum which reduces weight. Heat sink
ribs on the motor body ensure efficient heat dissipation even
at 240 starts per hour. The hoist is protected by 80-micron dark
epoxy paint. |
 Large integral steel panel encloses all electrical components
and offers space for additional options. The panel also provides
easy access for maintenance operations. (IP55/NEMA 3R). |

Control hoists individually or simultaneously with a single button. There
is a pre-selection capability for all units. RM models with remote controls
incorporate red and green LED indicators, which indicate the selected
hoisting direction.
For larger applications, R&M STAGEMAKER® CONTROLLERS can be interconnected
to operate a system of up to 64 hoists. All pre-selected hoists are
activated simultaneously through one single RUN button, as a standard.
Other configurations are available upon request.
R&M STAGEMAKER® CONTROLLERS utilize UL / CSA components and meet
European electrical standards (IEC & EMC). They offer maximum flexibility,
durability and safety.

STAGEMAKER CPU CONTROLLER
 The R&M STAGEMAKER® CPU CONTROLLER has been developed
specifically for the control of R&M STAGEMAKER® concert hoists.
The system is modular in design enabling you to build a configuration
of up to 8 units, each unit available with 8 channels and built into
a 19" rack casing.
The software runs with Windows 9x (NT) on standard PC's or laptops
(min. 260Mhz) equipped with an Ethernet adaptor. Required software and
later updates can be downloaded from the Internet free of charge. The
standard design controls 64 channels and includes simulation capabilities.
Features
- R&M STAGEMAKER® CPU CONTROLLER allows you to pre-program and
control hoists individually, simultaneously or in groups
- Pre-selection and settings in numerous queues which can be made
separately for different settings at various locations
- Power switching and controls are combined in one housing, hoists
are connected through one 19 conductor multi-cable
- Hoist positions are determined by an incremental encoder located
in the hoist drive-train, pulses are registered and temporarily stored
in case of power failure.
- Selection for individual hoist or groupings, with adjustable synchronization.
- Time delay and synchronization available to create special effects
- Safety components such as emergency stop, overload device and thermal
protection will stop the corresponding group if one hoist in the system
fails.
- "Drag & drop" facility to create a realistic on screen lay-out
of the truss configuration
- Various programming additions available
- Built-in phase failure and sequence fault detection with LED indication
- Remote E-stop and start button box
- Manual operation without PC through touchkeys with LED indication
- Safety system in accordance with BGV-C1
- Key-switch for bypass, no-load detection and fault detection reset
Hoists working with R&M STAGEMAKER® CPU CONTROLLER requires an incremental
encoder, low voltage control and geared limit switches. In case of BGV-C10
requirements, the optional extra for this application must be taken into
consideration. (Second motor brake)
R&M STAGEMAKER® CONTROLLER fully meets the latest European electrical
standards (IEC & EMC), offering maximum flexibility, durability
and safety.
R&M STAGEMAKER® R8CPU controllers are available
to serve manual configuration BGV-C1 hoists. In such cases the unit
is supplied without a processor board and doesn't require the software.
All benefits of the basic modular set-up remain operational.
